Crime of the Week: Fatal Hit and Run – Savoie Landing NB

Crime Stoppers and the Northeast District RCMP are looking for the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit and run collision that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist in Savoie Landing, N.B.

At approximately 2:25 a.m. on June 13, 2015, a motorcyclist was travelling northbound on Route 113 in Savoie Landing when he collided with another motorcycle that was travelling with him. The motorcyclist landed on the ground in the southbound lane and was subsequently struck by a vehicle travelling in that direction. The driver of the southbound vehicle stopped momentarily but left shortly thereafter. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver is thought to have been a man in his 50’s who was wearing glasses and had a small moustache. The vehicle is described as a small, dark-coloured, newer model car. It may have sustained some damage on the driver’s side and/or the undercarriage as a result of the collision.
