Arson Investigation – Saint John at Galbraith Construction Ltd.

The Saint John Police seek the public’s assistance in an ongoing arson investigation. It is reported that:

On Friday, June 10, 2022, at approximately 1:12 a.m., the Saint John Police responded to an intrusion alarm at Galbraith Construction Ltd., located at 1200 King William Road in Saint John.

Upon arrival, police discovered that a fire had occurred inside the building. It was further found that an unknown person had broken into the business and set the fire. No one was injured; however, the fire caused considerable damage.

Video surveillance (View video here: https://1800222.tips/3yWJwiw) shows perpetrators entering the site with a gas can and hammer, heading toward the central control room door. The door glass was broken, an individual climbed inside with the gas can and an accelerant was spread over the plant controls. Upon exiting the building, lighting wicks can be seen thrown inside igniting the accelerant. Losses are estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Galbraith Construction Ltd. is offering a substantial cash reward for information that will lead to the conviction of the individual responsible for this crime.
