Crime of the Week: Hit and Run – Lutes Mountain, NB
Crime Stoppers and the Southeast District RCMP are looking for the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit and run collision that left a pedestrian seriously injured in Lutes Mountain, New Brunswick.
At approximately 7:12 a.m. on August 15, 2016, a man was found lying on the side of the Homestead Road, in the Lutes Mountain area, near Moncton, New Brunswick. The man, who was from Ontario, sustained severe trauma to his left arm and suffered a concussion.
The police investigation revealed that the tourist had been out jogging on the Homestead Road between the Atlantic Motel and the Mountain Top Motel, and was somehow injured while headed eastbound, on the shoulder of the road.
It is believed that his left arm may have been struck by a vehicle or some part of a vehicle that was travelling in the eastbound lane of Homestead Road. The passenger side of the suspect vehicle may have sustained some damage.
