Crime of the Week: Arson of house at Esgenoôpetitj First Nation

Crime Stoppers and the Northeast District RCMP, Neguac Detachment, are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the person or persons who attempted to set a house on fire, on Micmac Road on the Esgenoôpetitj First Nation.

Sometime between August 8 and 10, 2015, a gas bomb was thrown into a residence under construction at 558 Micmac Road. A rock was thrown to damage the window of a door at the side of the house then the gas bomb was deployed. The house was not destroyed completely, but received a considerable amount of smoke damage.
