Moose found dead

Crime Stoppers and the Department of Justice and Public Safety are seeking your assistance in apprehending the individual(s) responsible for destroying New Brunswick’s protected species.

On or about Saturday, November 12, 2016, DPS Conservation officers investigated a complaint regarding a bull moose that was shot and killed at or near the 25km mark on the main I.P. Road. After killing the moose, the individual(s) then removed the antlers and antlers only; the remains were then left on site.

The Department of Justice and Public Safety, Hunters, the New Brunswick Wildlife Federation, and Crime Stoppers believe that the majority of our province’s citizens deplore such activity.

If you have any information on this crime or any other crimes against the natural resources of New Brunswick, please contact your local Department of Justice and Public Safety Office or if you wish to remain anonymous, please contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), Texting TIP212 + your message to ‘CRIMES’ (274637), or by secure web tips at www.crimenb.ca.
